Shoulder Pain
The shoulder is a complex joint with a huge range of motion and many muscles involved in both moving and stabilising it, with the group of muscles known as the rotator cuff being particularly important for normal shoulder function. Imbalance or injury to any of these muscles results in altered function which can lead to pain and restriction of movement. With treatment to any damaged muscles and tendons, mobilisation of the various parts of the shoulder girdle and exercises to restore mobility and strength, we aim to ease pain and restore function.
Shoulder Pain Treatments
Frozen shoulder is a specific condition that is very painful and limiting. It involves shrinkage of the capsule that surrounds the shoulder joint and causes a very restricted, or “frozen” shoulder. With treatment and appropriate exercises, we can shorten the time it takes for this painful condition to resolve which, if untreated, can last for two years or more.
