Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in damaged or inflamed tissues. It is commonly used to treat chronic pain and a wide range of soft-tissue conditions.

Each session typically lasts around 20 minutes. A handheld applicator delivers acoustic waves directly to the affected area. Most patients describe the sensation as mildly uncomfortable but tolerable, and the intensity is always adjusted to suit your comfort level. Treatment plans are tailored to your individual condition.

Shockwave Therapy works by:

  • Stimulating blood circulation

  • Breaking down scar tissue and calcifications

  • Encouraging the body’s natural healing processes

Shockwave Therapy

What is it?

It is an effective treatment for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies, tennis and golfer’s elbow, knee pain and early osteoarthritis, shoulder tendonitis, hip pain, and gluteal tendinopathies or bursitis.

Many patients notice improvement early on, with continued progress throughout the treatment course and further benefits in the months that follow as healing continues. Mild side effects such as soreness, redness, or bruising may occur but typically resolve quickly.
