Knee Pain
The knee is the largest joint in the body and endures significant stress during everyday activities. In fact, the knee consists of three separate compartments, each of which can develop its own distinct problems. As a result, these issues may occur individually or in combination. Additionally, dysfunction in the lower back, hip, foot, or ankle can place excessive leverage forces on the knee. Over time, this added stress increases the risk of injury and accelerates wear and tear. Notably, in 2024, almost 135,000 knee operations were performed in the UK.
Knee Pain Treatment
We mobilise stiff joints, stretch tight muscles, strengthen weak areas, and correct alignment to maximise function, improve stability, and reduce the risk of injury.
While arthritis means the knee cannot be “unworn,” we use a range of techniques to ease pain and improve mobility. Many patients tell us they were advised to simply wait until the knee worsens enough for replacement surgery. An arthritis diagnosis doesn’t have to stop you from staying active and enjoying life.
Book a consultation with us to explore your options. If your knee is truly beyond conservative care, we’ll tell you honestly and guide you in the right direction. Until then, we can help.
