We are open for appointments
Medical services are exempt from the new lockdown restrictions and the government is urging the public to seek care for both urgent and non-urgent conditions.
Chiropractic services are specifically referred to in the latest guidance which states that an allowable reason for leaving your home is to visit the chiropractor.
The health and safety of our patients and staff remains our first priority. In order to continue to help our trusting and valued patients during the pandemic, we have introduced several measures to ensure that visiting Casterbridge Chiropractic is safe.
Keeping you safe
We have undertaken an extensive assessment of the COVID-19 infection risk to patients and staff. As a result of the significant changes we have made to our working practices, we believe the risk is as low as practicable.
We are keeping the situation under constant review and will make further changes as necessary.
In order to restrict the number of people in the clinic at any one time, we are operating at reduced capacity.
To help maintain social distancing, we ask patients to come to the clinic alone, unless they are a minor or need assistance. Couples or families coming for consecutive appointments should come in one at a time.
Please do not arrive early, but at the appointed time. If we are not able to see you on time we will contact you. If you are not able to arrive on time, please contact us; it may be that we have to reschedule your appointment.
Time is being allowed after each appointment for sanitisation of the treatment room and common areas of the clinic.
Although we love chatting with our patients, we ever-so-politely request that you don’t remain in the clinic longer than necessary after your appointment.
You will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to your appointment.
You will also be required to give your consent to the risks of attending the clinic.
We will check your temperature on arrival.
Our practitioners are wearing face masks, gloves, an apron and protective eyewear (when necessary).
Our patients are required to wear a face mask throughout their visit.
A rigorous cleaning regime is being employed in the clinic to ensure everyone’s safety, with high contact areas being sanitised after every patient visit.
We have a forced ventilation system in the clinic which constantly exchanges the air and reduces the chance of viruses accumulating.
Patients are asked to wash their hands or use the hand sanitiser on arrival and again on leaving the clinic.
Should you come?
While there is active spread of COVID-19 in the community, we ask you to carefully weigh up your treatment needs against the risk of Coronavirus infection.
The NHS has issued guidance on who is most at risk from COVID-19 and we ask you to check yourself against this list before booking. We are doing all we can to protect patients and ourselves from infection, but the risk can never be reduced to zero. You will therefore have to accept responsibility for your decision to come for treatment.
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you must not attend the clinic. The list of main symptoms currently identified by the NHS is:
- high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
In Dorset we are been fortunate to have had one of the lowest infection rates of COVID-19 in the country.
However, there is no room for complacency and you can rest assured that at Casterbridge Chiropractic we are committed to ensuring the risk of transmission is kept as low as practicable.
We look forward to seeing you, albeit from behind a mask!
